Poirot Adventures: The Lost Mine

Wow. This one was boring!

During a quiet evening in their flat, Hastings peruses the new stock options. This prompts Poirot to tell him of a case earlier in his career. A man with a large share of a profitable mine went missing, and the good Poirot was brought in to find him.

This whole short is told by Poirot. Which could have been interesting; another Poirot short did the same, and it was great! But this time around, it’s boring, unsatisfying, and unengaging. It’s so short and dull that it feels utterly lifeless.

The ending is a problem, too. It’s so short and abrupt that even Hastings is shocked by it!

Honestly, there isn’t much to talk about here. No interesting characters, no complex mystery to sink your teeth into, nothing.

That’s about all I have to say about this one. It’s boring and it doesn’t do anything particularly interesting. I’d pass on this one if I were you.
