Poirot Mysteries: The Adventure of the Italian Nobleman

Robberies and kidnappings are good and all. But nothing beats a good ol’ murder mystery.

A call for murder has been sounded, and the victim himself called it in! Luckily, the doctor said victim called in was dining alongside none other than Hercule Poirot! Will Papa Poirot’s gray cells get to the bottom of this murder?

Spoilers: yes.

This is a really good one. It’s a rock solid murder mystery. All of the clues you need to piece it together are clearly communicated to you throughout the story. Anyone with as sharp a mind as Poirot may be able to piece it together!

More than that, it’s got intrigue. You don’t just want to know how the killer did it, you also want to know why. There’s a decent amount of intrigue here!

All of it comes to a close with one of my favorite Poirot short endings: with Hastings cursing his friend for always being right. It’s a simple joke, but it’s fun and charming. A lovely little way to wrap this one up.

I really enjoyed this one. If you want a solid little murder mystery to read, this is definitely a good pick. I’d highly recommend it.
