Ranking All Fifteen Doctors in Doctor Who

We’ve had our fun, galivanting about through time and space. We’ve revisited fifteen remarkable performances over sixty years of television history. But now, it’s time for the fun to end.

Which means we’ve got to rank them. Don’t get mad at me, that’s just how the internet works. Can’t have any opinions without a ranking.

This list is not opinion, it’s fact, I don’t make up the rules.

The top of the list is pretty self explanatory. These are the cream of the crop, the best Doctors to grace the screen. One, for having set the whole thing started. Two, for having established Regeneration as a concept and keeping the show alive. Four, for being the most iconic version of the character to date.

And Ten, because I am a normie.

The next tier are the Doctors that I still love and cherish, just not as dearly. Whether they just weren’t around for long or their runs weren’t as strong as others. I love them and I’ll be more than happy to watch their best stories again.

As for the middle tier, these are the ones that are good, but I find to be just… okay. I’d have put Eight higher, but 99.9% of his run is in the audio dramas, cameos, one mini-episode, and the movie. Five and Seven are here because I like them, just not as much as others.

For Six… you know why he’s down there. His TV run was pretty bad, but he saw some redemption later on in extended media and return appearances. He still deserves to be called iconic, even if we can all agree he had some problems.

We don’t need to go over the bottom of the list. That dead horse has been beaten rather thoroughly at this point. Just know: I don’t hate these Doctors. Only the stories they appeared in. In the hands of better writers, I’m sure they would stand every bit as tall as their predecessors.

So, that’s it. That’s how I’d rank the Doctors. A bit bold, perhaps, but it’s the only true and correct opinion. Feel free to share yours, so I can tell you exactly why you’re wrong.

Boy, can’t wait for the sarcasm police to miss this one.

Alright, that’s enough Doctor Who for a while. We can let it rest now. At least until November.

See y’all then!
