Writer’s Diary: May 2026 Update

I’m gonna keep things short and simple today. I don’t have much to say, and I’ve got a lot to do. So, let’s just get right into it.

Things will be silent on the blog front this month. I don’t currently have any ideas for posts that really excite me. There are a few projects in the oven that may see the light of day sometime. Maybe even soon. But most of my efforts will be focused on my latest novel.

Speaking of, let’s talk about ‘The Red Dragon’s Tears’. Progress has been pretty smooth. Most of the major additions have been implemented, filling out some gaps in the plot from the first draft. The remaining work is split between polishing and small adjustments. Current progress is just over 60%. It’ll be off to the beta readers in June.

While they’re reading, I’ll begin work drafting a prototype for the cover. As drawing is not my strong suit, this will largely be a blueprint for an actual artist. I won’t be hiring one until the manuscript is fully edited and formatted, but I’ll start looking for one around this point. If you know an artist whose style would fit a dark fantasy novel, please let me know!

That’s all I have for you folks today. Thanks as always for reading! I hope you have a wonderful rest of your day. Until next time, stay safe, and good fortune be with you!
