The time has come. The final battle is upon us.
In this episode, Mob goes toe-to-toe with Claw’s top two: Serizawa and their boss. But in the face of the Boss’s power, even Mob’s is put to shame. Will he be able to teach him the same lesson he’s taught so many others?
Out of all the episodes this season, this one will be the hardest to review without spoilers. Few events happened, but each one was extremely grand and important to the plot. And, as per the usual, they were all fantastic!
The first half of this episode is one of the strongest scenes in the series. Mob’s battle with Serizawa puts the series’s main themes on full display, and does so better than ever before! Serizawa is an incredibly interesting and sympathetic villain, and serves as an incredible reflection of Mob’s growth as a character. While the fight is lacking in the same level of choreography, the emotional impact of it makes it all worth it.
This episode also treats us to the complete culmination of the villain’s character. For the first time, we have an antagonist who is completely unaffected by Mob’s usual tactics. His power is immense, his personality is cold, and he serves as an excellent villain for the themes of the story.
Unfortunately, it’s hard to talk about anything else from this episode. I’m already toeing the line of spoilers, and it’s starting to get really fucking thin! So I’m going to stop here and give you the same spiel as always.
Watch. Mob. Psycho. 100. Now! Seriously, if you haven’t started the series at this point, then I don’t know what the hell is wrong with you! You are missing out on one of the greatest anime series of all time!
And I don’t know why you’re reading this series, frankly.
