Huh. Well, that happened. I guess there’s a reason it was called ‘What a Twist’.
In terms of events, not a whole lot happened this episode. Deku, Shoji and Todoroki confronted the villains for a brief encounter (plus a little support from Aoyama the laser boy at the end). Most of this episode was just the fallout: the press hammering down on the school, All Might and the students being depressed, and Deku being super angry with himself.
Why?
Because Bakugo actually got kidnapped. Yeah. The Villains won. In an arc of My Hero Academia.
Aside from that, not a whole lot of import happened. This episode was mostly just clearing the table and getting ready to set it for the next chunk of the arc. Is that bad? Not at all, we still got a short but sweet action sequence at the beginning and lots of good character moments.
I can’t wait to see where this show goes next. I thought I had it down to a formula, but this arc completely shook what I thought would happen. My excitement cannot be peaked right now. The next episode looks to be freaking awesome!
