Writer’s Diary: March Update 2026

Hey everyone. I hope you’re doing well. It’s been a scary month, hasn’t it? Feels like the whole damn world is on fire. I’m just glad you’re still here. Anyway, let’s get into it before I fall into a bottomless pit of despair.

I have a few plans for the blog this month. My promised review of ‘Absolute Wonder Woman’ will be along soon. You can also expect rants on ‘Slay the Spire 2’ and ‘Resident Evil: Requiem’; I’ve been loving both games, and I cannot wait to talk about them. Expect those when you see them.

Next up on the docket, a quick update on the audio book for ‘Father of Monsters’. We’ve been faced with some technical hurdles that will take some time to get over. I can’t say when production will be back on track. I appreciate your patience as we work through this.

Now, let’s talk about the next book: ‘The Red Dragon’s Tears’. The first draft of the novella is complete! Here are the total numbers:

  • Chapters: 14
  • Pages: 84
  • Total Words: 37376

Once this article goes up, I’ll begin work on the second draft. This will boil down into two steps. One: make a few necessary additions to fill gaps in the plot and characterization. Two: organize the mess into a more coherent and compelling narrative. Luckily, I already have all the notes I need to knock out the former, and the ladder will happen naturally as I work. The goal is to have that done by the end of May, then send it off to the beta readers.

Provided the world doesn’t… you know, end.

That’s all I have for you today. Thank you all very much for reading. Until next time, as always, stay safe, keep healthy, and be kind to each other. See you later!
