Day 362: Looking Back on Days 200 to 300 (Dawn of the Third Day)

The groundwork has been set. All that remained was to build upon it. Refine it.

Some of my favorite posts came out during this period of time. These were among the most fun to create, and they were some of the best received. At least, by the standards set by the first site.

This was also around the time that the seasonal anime reviews were reaching the peak of what I wanted them to be. During this period, my skills of critical analysis greatly evolved. Now I can tolerate reading my own reviews, rather than feeling sick at the sight of them!

Progress!

It was this period of time where I realized how important doing this has become to me. Sitting down and writing at least one of these a day has been more than just good fun. It’s become such an important part of my daily routine that I can’t imagine ever stopping.

I realized that doing this had become the most important and joy-bringing aspect of my life. Whether I was talking about a game, anime or movie, these posts were the ones that brought me the most joy. Every moment I spent here, every word I put down, brought me joy.

But it’s not all sunshine and rainbows. Around this time, a feeling of staleness started to settle in for me. It suddenly hit me that the current format can’t last forever. Eventually, that number is going to get too big. Something had to change.

It would be a while still before that happened. We still had a long time left to go. Sometimes it felt so far that it felt unreachable. But after we breached the three hundred mark, reality set in. The time for change was nigh.

But that’s a story for another day. Tomorrow, specifically. So I hope you’ll join me as I wrap up this little retrospective on the past, and we have a look towards the future.
