Day 202: Happy October

September has come to a close, and with it marks the opening of October. And honestly, who doesn’t love October? Orange and red leaves crunching beneath your feet, the brisk air of Autumn, pumpkin spice everything (and I do mean everything) and of course:

Edgy teenagers getting excited for Halloween. What a month to be alive!

Honestly though, I’m looking forward to this month. The temperature going down is going to be a god send for me, as I have to walk to work every day (which reminds me, I’ve got a few more pedestrian stories that I could tell). On top of that, I can finally wear a jacket, which means pockets!

I assure you this is a big deal.

And as much as I make fun of people who love Halloween, I can’t deny that I have a strong love for it myself. I’m usually not a fan of children, but watching the different costumes that kids have is always a fun time. All the decorations are pretty awesome too, and this is coming from someone who usually doesn’t enjoy horror stuff.

On that subject, I’m not looking forward to this month’s movies. Particularly that new Halloween movie. How many times can people stand watching Mike Myers get rebooted? Cause I’m sick of it already.

But I’m not worried about that. I’ve been trying to be more positive, both on my blog and in real life, so I just wanted to say a few positive things about the season. Constantly living in negativity has gotten kind of depressing, so I’m trying to lift my own spirits by focusing on all the little things.

Thanks for putting up with my little self-therapy exercise. I’ll try to make it less obnoxious next time. It’s looking to be a good month, and I’m excited to share it with all of you guys.

That was corny, I know, but hey! It’s the season for corn!

… I’ll see myself out.
